Handcoloring
Demo
This short slide show will demonstrate Dinah's
work on the image Regal Beauty. The original
photo was shot at the Butchart Gardens, in Victoria, B.C., Canada. Then an 11"x14" black and white
fiber-based warm-tone photograph was developed with just the right contrast.
Dinah gently applies special photo oil paints to the photo, working out
from the center. With about 40 hours of detailed handcoloring work on this image, the results are
worth it. Enjoy!
(The show will repeat, and requires
no action on your part). |

Handcoloring a B&W Photo
This is a typical desktop setting.

Here,
Dinah is working on the
handcolored
image that resulted in . . .

Goldeneye on the Ball.

Dinah enjoys using Marshall's Photo Oils.
The oils allow her a wide range of
nearly-transparent
colors all the way up
to intense colors, and are easy to
apply and spread consistently.
