The Studio
|
Dinah Satterwhite's studio is located in her home on Bainbridge Island, Washington, near
Seattle. In 2002 she completed a 2-year renovation
where the rec room was converted into a full time studio. The large, open, airy room
is great for creative endeavors. The beamed cedar ceiling posts are the
only part of the original home that was kept when Rob and Dinah re-built in 1999. The pool table was partially
assembled up to the layer of slate, and has been left as a large,
solid work surface for Dinah. A new wall and storage area at the back of
the studio was
built in 2003 by her husband Rob, which created additional display space for Dinah's
framed work. The studio is open by appointment, and
generally there are about 200 framed pieces on hand, along with matted
prints, individual cards, boxed note cards, and magnets. Sometimes
you can view a work in progress, such as in the photo on the right which
shows Regal Beauty at an early stage. (Check out the
